Sensei Morini with Frank DiNunno and Jack Pegritz, ca. 1962
|
Sensei Ron Morini has taught Shotokan Karate since the early 1960's. He received his black belt from Sensei Yoshi Yamagami of the Japan Karate Association and remained affiliated with the JKA during its "hey day" of the early 1960's. He and several fellow students opened one of the first commercial karate schools in Uniontown, PA in 1962. After moving to New Castle in the late 1960's, Sensei Morini severed his association with the JKA and founded the New Castle Karate Academy. His principles and philosophy are comprised in RAM Karate, using the physical techniques of Shotokan karate.
